Afghan Women Can't Hear Others women's voice

Imagine your government banning you from Praying aloud.
This is happening in Afghanistan. Now.
Taliban's new announcement states that women shouldn't allow their voices to be heard by other females.
Two months after the Taliban announced another draconian law that women’s voices and faces should not be heard or seen in public, few anticipated what their next strategic move to suppress women would be.

On October 26th, Khalid Hanafi, the Taliban’s Minister for Virtue and Vice, declared that other women should not even hear women’s voices. This latest restriction forbids women from praying or reciting verses from the Quran loudly enough to be heard by another female.

Each new announcement adds another layer of oppression, with no clear end in sight to these restrictive laws. These actions suggest one term that resonates globally: Gender Apartheid. Hanafi stated, "Even when an adult female prays and another female passes by, she must not pray loudly enough for them to hear." He added that these new rules will be gradually implemented.

This may mark only the beginning of widespread oppression of women in Afghanistan. If these restrictions continue, Afghanistan risks becoming the hardest country in the world to be a woman.

The Taliban just made the voices of Afghan women louder by silencing them. Afghan women deserve freedom, justice, and humanity. Let's stand with them and echo their call for rights and dignity.
